| Financial support to film projects |
Financial support for film productions in Poland is offered at the local level (by local authorities), also at national and international levels (by governmental institutions, film industry associations, and EU programs). They are designed for various groups of beneficiaries from those just beginning their film careers to people with many-year experience and well-developed distinguishable style of work. The variety of supportive programs on offer provides with an opportunity for obtaining subsidies to finance almost each production stage. The so called ambitious cinema of high artistic standards is promoted in the first place as the one with more difficult access to sources of financing than commercial cinema for mass audience.
